Abstract Background

Pelvic Floor Therapy

Restoring Strength, Confidence, and Ease

Your pelvic floor plays a crucial role in your everyday life—supporting bladder and bowel function, sexual health, core stability, and organ support. When these muscles are out of balance, they can lead to challenges like pain, leakage, constipation, or a sense of disconnect from your own body. But here’s the good news: healing is possible.

Pelvic floor therapy isn’t just about strengthening muscles—it’s about restoring function, balance, and confidence in the way you move through life. As an occupational therapist, I bring a unique perspective, recognizing that pelvic health isn’t separate from the rest of your well-being. It’s deeply connected to how you show up in your daily activities, from laughing with friends to lifting your kids, exercising, or simply feeling at ease in your body.

Using a combination of movement, hands-on techniques, biofeedback, and education, pelvic floor therapy helps address concerns such as:
✓ Pelvic pain
✓ Urinary incontinence, leakage, and difficulty eliminating
✓ Prolapse
✓ Postpartum recovery

✓ Pregnancy and delivery preparation
✓ Sexual dysfunction
✓ Constipation, diarrhea, and fecal incontinence

As an Occupational Therapist, I will also emphasize the importance of your roles, beliefs, habits, relationships, and desires. Think about this: "How would life look different if we met YOUR goals?" This therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all—your journey is unique, and so is my approach.

Pelvic floor challenges are common, but that doesn’t mean they’re something you have to live with. With the right support, you can move past discomfort and reclaim the ease, strength, and confidence you deserve.
